Welcome to the writers panel. Happy spring.

I'm Ben Blacker, the creator and moderator of the podcast.

I created the show because I wanted to talk to other writers about the business and process of writing.

I've had more than a thousand writers on the show, so please check the archives to find more writers and more

TV shows of interest to you. I've written a bunch of things. With my writing partner, Ben Acker,

I was on the writing staffs of Supernatural, Puss and Boots, some other shows. We sold a bunch of pilots

over the years as well, and we have a couple of things cooking right now, which I thought I'd be

able to tell you about by now, but I can't.

So keep listening, and as soon as I can talk about these things, I will, because I'm very excited about them.

Meantime, you can check out some comics we've written, including The Last Jedi tie-in comics from Marvel, called The Storms of Crate and DJ Most Wanted. We also did Deadpool v. Gambit over at

Marvel and our creator-owned, Death Be Damned, which is a supernatural Western from Boom Studios. We

co-wrote it with our pal, Andrew Miller, who made the new Tremors pilot most recently for sci-fi.

Also, check out the podcast Dead Pilot Society, which is a show I produce with Friends writer Andrew Reich.

In it, we take pilots that have been bought and developed by networks, but never shot, and we get these incredible

cast to read them live. And pertinent to writers' panel listeners' interests, we also talk with the

writers about how the process went wrong, or sometimes didn't. Sometimes it just stopped

abruptly. Anyway, that's Dead Pilot Society, and it's on the maximum fun network.
