What is the crack? This week I have a very special treat, a very special treat.

And it's something that I've been looking forward to for a long time,

because I'm gonna have a chat with someone I really look up to,

a documentary maker by the name of Adam Curtis.

I was gonna interview Adam before as nearly this time last year

I had a live gig in London which was sold out, which I cancelled.

I pulled it because of the coronavirus, it didn't feel safe, so I pulled the gig.

And Adam was gonna be my guest.

What can I say about the work of Adam Curtis?

He's my favorite documentary filmmaker.

Himself and Werner Herzog would be my two favorite.

And Adam's documentary is in particular for me what I thoroughly enjoy.

A documentary called The Century of the Self, Biter Lake, Hyper-Normalization.

He makes these, they're hard to pin down on their hard to describe.

He uses a mixture of journalism, music, and archive footage,

and most importantly storytelling,
