Thank you for being with us for a very special episode of the Hollywood Reporter's Awards Shattered podcast coming

obviously live from the inaugural Newport Beach TV Fest. We're so happy to be a part of it. My name's

Scott Feinberg. I'm the host of the podcast and the executive editor at the Hollywood Reporter.

And I want to just say a few words about our guests before we bring him out. As you know,

he has for more than 25 years now been not only a fan favorite but also an award-winning actor.

He shot to stardom, of course, playing Seth Cohen on a little show shot around here for the OC, which debuted in 2003,

that put him on the map. But then 21 years later, there was another TV show that debuted,

and that, of course, is Netflix's Nobody Wants This, in which he plays a rabbi in Los Angeles who gets

romantically involved with a sex podcaster, who is not Jewish, played by Kristen Bell.

Now, the newer show, like the older show, proved to be a cultural phenomenon. And this time,

unlike last time, he's getting love not only from the public, but also the business.

Within the past year, or I should say this year itself in 2025,

he was nominated for Golden Globe and SAG Awards.

He won a Critics Choice Award,

and he is now in the running for a Primetime Emmy Award.
