| 0:45.3 | Yeah, it was a weird moment for us. |
| 0:47.4 | And like, oh, the Bella Twins. |
| 0:53.4 | And then one of the things that they were talking about is we were talking about adding salt into the water. And a lot of, one of the Bell twins that just talked about on a podcast famously she had pied herself because she is drinking so much water and she's having to go to the bathroom all the time and it was causing all these performance problems. And you and I were like, yeah. Yeah, because you're not actually absorbing the water you're drinking. Well, you're just blowing out all the electrolytes. So people oftentimes think they're doing the right thing by just doing all this drinking. And look, if you're drinking water with food, we don't need to be precious about that. But one of the things we see is that when people have to be conscious about body weight and they're trying to control their sort of calories in, oftentimes they kick out a lot of glycogen. They use their glycogen. |
| 1:28.3 | And one of the things that happens besides drinking a ton of water and not having electrolytes |
| 1:32.4 | is that they, as they kick out all the glycogen, you lose all that body water, all your electrolytes |
| 1:37.7 | are gone again. So putting those electrolytes back or being conscious of it in times where |
| 1:42.8 | you're watching your calories, a little bit |
| 1:44.6 | low glycogen, because you're not eating a ton of carbohydrate, can make you feel a lot better. |
| 1:50.2 | Which, which for context often happens to us when we travel. We'll go through long periods |
| 1:55.7 | where we don't have access to food or can't find food. And rather than eating junky stuff, |
| 1:59.9 | we often just don't eat. But we always make sure to drink some element and make sure we have some salts on board. Dude, I take my hot element. I drink it out of a cap, my Yeti cap. I feel like so civilized. I pull my little, like it's like a two pound aluminum cap and I drink my salty water and I'm killing it. |
