This is showing that the divided kingdom of Israel that has been divided by idolatry for hundreds and hundreds of years is now being brought back together because the same Lord is bringing them under his kingdom.

The split that happened with Rehoboam and Jerobam is now healed under King Jesus.

And you now have a united kingdom where there was a divided kingdom and you have one king,

King Jesus.

continuing our walk through the book of Acts. And as we talked about last week, we want to take

some time to look at the gospel being proclaimed as it goes out to all nations. What was the gospel's

content and what was the

effect of the gospel being preached. But before we do that, we want to kind of weigh anchor,

to use a Lucan term, because he loved ships.

Ahoy. We want to stop in the three locations that Acts 1-8 that Jesus told his disciples that they would spread the gospel.

In Jerusalem is one, in Judea, Samaria, another, and to the ends of the earth, which is the third.

Though we're going to go a little out of order, call it what we're prepared for or what we're just too excited to talk about,
