So when they had testified and preached the Word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem,

preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samarans. So not only do St. Peter and John decide,

oh, well, this is okay, right? But they join in, right?

On their way back, they're stopping these, and they say, oh, hey, the Samaritans.

They may have been separated from us before, but clearly we're reunited now in Christ.

Let's really participate in that ministry.

Now, an angel the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, arise and go toward the south along the road,

which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.

So when he says arise and go, that's quite a trek from Samaria.

Oh, yeah.

Right?

Because Jerusalem, south to Gaza, is going along the shore toward Egypt.

And that phrase, arise and go, is from the Greek that's used of the prophets.

In Hebrew, it's cum lake, rise, go.

Right.

And that's used constantly.

It's used, Jonah is a good example.

Right.

God causes this, rise, go to Nineveh.
