Reformed Church, but now an Orthodox priest serving at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

in Lafayette, Louisiana. When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the spirit

when he had passed through Macedonia and Ikea to go to Jerusalem,

saying, after I have been there, I must also see Rome.

So he sent into Macedonia two of those who ministered to him,

Timothy and Erastus, but he himself stayed in Asia for a time.

So he says, well, I'm going to go and visit these churches I planted one last time.

So this is sort of a third trip he's making.

I'm going to visit these churches I planned one last time.

Then I need to get back to Jerusalem.

And then his plan is, after he's returned to Jerusalem, his plan is, I need to go to Rome.

Right. I need to get to Rome. We're going to find out later in Acts and in his epistles

that there's a very important reason for that. That's that St. Paul goes big or goes home.

He wants to convert the emperor to Christianity.

Uh-huh.

Yes.

Which you would really have his work cut out for him because right at this point, I believe it's Caligula.

But that's his goal.

That's his goal.

That's where he's trying to get to.
