Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

Over the past couple of Searchlight programs,

we have been looking at a fascinating message that is being

preached by Stephen in Acts Chapter 7. This message seems like a simple history lesson, but it is

actually a very carefully crafted argument to show the religious leaders the futility of their

religious system. It is a system that was based

on a place, the temple, and a procedure, the law. As we join our teaching today, we are near the

end of Stephen's message, and then we will see that it is a message that brings a powerful

response. With our study, here now is Pastor John.

Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness as he had appointed,

speaking unto Moses, that he should make it this tabernacle according to the fashion that he had

seen, which also our fathers that came after brought in with Joshua into the possession of the Gentiles whom God drove out before the face of our fathers unto the days of David.

Tabernacle was structured. God then raised up Joshua to lead the people into the promised land and drive out those Amorites and Canaanites and Parasites and so forth.
