As we said last week, it's tough to come down from the mountaintop.

And who on earth could possibly follow Jesus?

Well, poor Peter, he had to. And yet he did an incredible job.

We'll spend some more time with him today, but we're starting to spread beyond his immediate influence, which is a good thing.

Not good that we're leaving Peter. Peter's incredible.

But good because the growth of the church is so fast and so far that he can't do everything himself.

Last week we saw him and John healed the layman from the temple.

Well, not only is the layman leaping around, but the gospel of Jesus Christ is leaping beyond borders.

If you remember Acts 1 when Jesus said,

you're going to teach in Jerusalem. Check.

You're going to teach in Judea. Check. We'll see more of that today.

You'll teach in Samaria. And that will be fulfilled today.

In fact, the gospel will spread to the ends of the earth.
