Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

We have seen in our study through Acts that God appointed Paul to be an apostle to the Gentiles, and Paul's

ministry to the Gentiles bore abundant fruit. But Paul still had a desire to minister the gospel

to his own countrymen, the Jews. And in our study of Acts chapter 22, we are seeing Paul

get a great opportunity to do just that. Paul had come to Jerusalem

and been falsely accused by some of the Jews. This started a riot and the Roman army intervened.

As Paul is being taken away, he asks the commander if he could talk to the Jewish crowd.

When he begins to talk to them, Paul

shares his testimony. As we pick up the story today, Paul is telling them that he once was

persecuting the church, then an amazing event happened to him. With the story, here now is Pastor

John. With these letters from the high priest, to go to Damascus and find Jewish believers, Jewish Christians,

and bring them back to Jerusalem to be tried and imprisoned.

As I made my journey, verse 6, and was come nigh to Damascus about noon.
