I served my mission in Puerto Rico as many of you know.

And Puerto Rican Spanish is not the same as Spanish everywhere else.

I thought I knew Spanish. My trainer was from Mexico.

I could understand him perfectly.

And then I started meeting Puerto Ricans, whose philosophy was,

And I'm like raising my hand. I do.

I need every letter. All those that you're dropping off,

I needed them all, especially on plural words that end in S.

And yet for Puerto Ricans, any syllable that ends in S,

I dropped the S, it's fine.
