Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we have been studying through the Book of Acts.

In these studies, we have seen the power of the

Holy Spirit working through the church and many people being saved. In our study today in Acts

Chapter 13, we are entering a new phase in the Book of Acts. Paul and Barnabas are being chosen to launch

out on a missionary journey. Let's go ahead and join Pastor John

and see how this journey came about and what this means to us. Acts 13. Now Jesus said in Acts

Chapter 1, you shall receive power or dunamis when the holy ghost comes upon you and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in Judea and Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth.

That's what he said.

And indeed, that's exactly what happened.

We see there in Acts chapter 2 when the spirit fell

that man Peter stood up and began to preach to those who were in Jerusalem, and

3,000 were saved.
