Disney's live-action remake of The Lion King

has made over a billion dollars,

although it was not critically acclaimed.

In fact, I noticed that some of the critics said that the movie

actually made them miss the art of hand-drawn animation

because hyper-realistic computer animation of animals

does not leave much room for the characters to express themselves.

And I didn't even go see the movie

because that's pretty much how I felt when I watched the trailer.
