| 1:23.9 | What are active ETFs? How do they work and how are they different from passive funds? |
| 1:29.5 | Yeah, great question. |
| 1:31.2 | So, ETFs are really just mutual funds that trade on a stock exchange. |
| 1:35.8 | And so structurally, they're very similar. |
| 1:39.4 | The big difference is they tend to be a bit more tax efficient. |
| 1:43.8 | So last year, 4% of ETFs distributed capital gains, |
| 1:48.4 | 60% of mutual funds did. And they tend to be lower costs. So if there's a similar mutual fund, |
| 1:54.9 | an ETF would be coming at a cost. It's similar to like the institutional or retirement plan chair |
