The miracles remind us that our God is a God of action, righteous action and continual action.

He is at work.

So I think it fitting today that we turn our attention to the gospel of action.

That's the gospel according to Mark, to Mark chapter number 16 and Mark's account of the ultimate miracle, which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All four gospel writers, of course,

record for us the gospel message of the resurrection message. You can find it in Matthew 28,

you can find it in Luke 24, You can find it in John 20.

But I'd like to draw your attention to Mark's 16 today because Mark's description, his very

vivid description of the action that took place, action in a graveyard, action at the tomb.

I think we'll encourage you that our Christ is very much alive and very

much active. He's still alive. He is still active. Listen to the words of Mark 16 beginning in

verse 1. And when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome had

bought sweet spices that they might come and anoint him.

And very early in the morning, the first day of the week,

they came under the sepulchre at the rising of the sun, and they said among themselves,

Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

When they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away, or it was very great, and entering into the sepulchre. When they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away,

or it was very great.
