Summary

Adam opens the show with Larry Miller in studio right from the beginning. He talks a bit about the cool project he's working on with Kevin Smith and Kevin Pollack, and talks with Alison about the (late) ACE Broadcasting Christmas Party. Alison then jumps into the news, talking about Oprah's revealing family secret, and the sad passing of Jack LaLanne.

In entertainment news, Alison lists some of the nominations for the Razzies. The guys also discuss the demise of M. Night Shyamalan, and all the crappy Nic Cage movies. Alison brings up the devastating news that Marriott hotels are phasing out porn. There's talk about the recent suicide bombing in Russia, and Adam and Larry talk about the important difference America has made in the world.

After the break, back in-studio with Seth MacFarlane. The guys talk about Seth's love of classic music and live orchestral arrangements. They also talk about his early days animating for Hanna-Barbera, and Adam complains about all the crappy cartoons they put out. Seth also talks about the early days of putting Family Guy together, and Adam discusses his own issues getting an animated pilot off the ground. As the show wraps, Seth reads a section of Adam's book in the voice of Stewie.

but not one of these Johnny Come Lately's with the family guy.

0:38.2

And also American Dad, although I don't know if they have any Johnny Come Lately's with the American Dad since it was a later show, but I dug the family guy early and

often. You would pump us when we, you know, we're on the verge of cancellation. And speaking

to that, and yeah, I just thought it was really out there, really funny, really interesting.

0:55.4

I mean, I sort of felt the same way about the family guy that I felt about the Simpsons when I first saw the Simpsons.

1:00.8

I was like, wow, what the fuck? This is cool.

1:03.2

I can't believe they're getting away with this.

1:04.7

And then all of a sudden it went away, which is essentially, I blamed myself because any time, whether it's on, whether it's

1:17.6

it's like, oh, they fall off the end of the air. Could you really fast become a huge cold play

fan? Would that be possible? It'd be nice just to quiet them down.

1:30.3

Just make that whole abomination go away. I've tried the reverse Pox theory, but it doesn't work.

1:34.7

It's that sort of thing, like when there's a buddy of yours, he's a full-time loser, so he bets on the Super Bowl, and you go, all right, I'm just going to take the opposite
