Hi, it's great to see you. My pleasure. We'll talk about the book. We'll talk

about Modern Families. I mentioned we're all huge fans and to me Modern family sort of brought back the sitcom genre for me it was it was kind of

gone it was oh we're we're moving on to a I don't know single cam and I know you guys

are single cam but I mean like a Gary Shanling or a curbe your enthusiasm or some or

the sopranos or we're just moving away from

sitcoms and they brought me right back which I guess good writing can do yeah I mean I think the

genius what was so subversive about the show and I didn't create it. It was created by Steve

Levitan and Chris Lloyd but it was that it wasn't revolutionary it wasn't

cynical it wasn't subversive it was sort of like it was you know if you think about the comedies of the 90s in the early 2000s I love those and wrote on a lot of them

But it was a lot of people slamming each other

Yeah, and and the you know show a family that really loved each other was weirdly revolutionary at the time.
