Yes it was. So you've been at this for a while. How did you get connected with

David and how did you get connected with the project?

Well the author of the book Little Pink House of which the film is based on has known

David for a while and I didn't know that when I was in post-production we were putting the music together for the

film he mentioned we uh I know David Crosby and I said you what and he said how did

that happen and he said I'll talk to him about writing a song for the movie and I said why would he do that we can't

we don't have the capacity for a legendary musician to be involved in this project and I was really shocked when Jeff Benedict came back and said he already wrote some lyrics and

And so I met David at a really beautiful performance he had in Seattle and I talked to him about showed him the movie and he wrote a song and I'm still kind of pinching myself because I didn't know I'd be sitting here next to him ever in my life and I certainly didn't know I'd be working with him creatively.

Hey David, I'm a big fan and so what got you interested in the project?

Well, I live up in San Inez and we've been dealing with an Indian

Casino up there for a long time, kind of bad neighbors. And he had written a really good book about Foxwoods.

Oh, Connecticut.

Yeah, he had written a really, he's from there and he'd written a wonderful, very serious book about Indian casinos and he was like one of the authorities because he'd written this book and so we hired him to come and speak to us, the whole group of us there that were trying to control the situation.
