This is a nice fortune for me because I was watching HBO and I saw your special, I swear to God,

which is the name of the special, by the way, that's not me just saying, I swear to God,

I saw this special, which aired a couple of weeks back and aired it quite often and during prime time.

And I will say this, one of the best stand-up specials I've seen in many a year.

And I was saying on another podcast, I think, or maybe I was saying it off the air,

but I was not familiar with your work.

I was just cruising, just channel surfing on a Friday night, saw you doing your stand-up.

I think that no one's familiar with my work in this country. I got to be honest for you. You don't get stopped on the street that much. I've been stopped on the street by a lot of people who are channel-flicking. I'm the channel-flicking comic. Well, it's a good compliment. HBO said it didn't rate very well for the first 10 minutes, and it normally drops off as It goes along, but it picked up. So obviously people watched it and then started ringing up their friends or something. Yeah. But I don't think many people are like, oh, I'm settling in for Jim Jeffries on a Friday night. No, I was... No, I didn't know who Jim Jeffries was, and I don't even really like watching stand-up that much and I stopped on Jim Jeffries and

I was like, this guy's really fucking funny and I watched the entire thing. Now, I watched it,

I probably caught it 15 minutes in and watched it, watched it through the end, but then the

following night... Oh, the first 15 was shit oh no you caught that did yeah yeah it sucked

yeah it's got the following night did suck but uh i and then and then also what happens to me all the

time is i catch it the next night and come in on the exact same joke i came in at the night before

well they aired it nine times i still haven't seen it myself i can't watch myself on on television. You're good. Yeah, I know the jokes, but I can't. I don't think I can sit there and watch these goofy head for a whole hour. Some people really dig watching themselves. If I ever get a movie or anything like that, I'm not going to watch it. There's no way. I could never be one of these guys who directs myself.

Like Clint Eastwood directs himself in films.
