Summary

Adam has been waiting for this moment forever: sitting in Albert Brooks' office for an extended one-on-one chat. Right at the top, Adam reads the segment of his book where he praises Brooks' comedic abilities, and the guys also chat about Brooks' new book, '2030: The Real Story of What Happens To America'. The guys then talk about 'complisults' and the odds of one day having a half-Jewish president.

Later, the guys discuss some of their pet peeves when it comes to the movies. Albert doesn't like it when characters are funnier than the actual person would be in real life, and Adam complains about 555 numbers. They also agree that sloppy dialogue can ruin a movie even if you can't put your finger on what's wrong. Adam also talks with Brooks about having set an extremely high bar for himself comedically, and how that affects his interactions with other comedians. Brooks honestly conveys his feelings about receiving criticism, and whether or not people actually care about what you do.

Adam and Brooks also talk about their relationships with their siblings, and their successes in the field of writing books. Adam compliments Brooks on one of his all time favorite films, 'Defending Your Life', and Brooks suggests that it may be optioned for a Broadway musical. The guys also relate to their daughters growing up and maturing into women, and as the show wraps up, they talk about the battle of the sexes, and the future of sexuality.
