Sometimes people say, I don't understand why people make such a big deal about my sin. I'm not hurting anyone. What I do is not such a big deal.

Well for those who think this way our story in Joshua Chapter 7 tells a different story.

It shows simply and clearly the impact of our sin upon us and others.

Let's now join Pastor John as he begins this important teaching.

Joshua chapter 7 beginning at verse 19.

And Joshua said unto Aiken, my son give I pray the glory to the Lord God of Israel and make

confession unto him and tell me now what thou hast done, hide it not from me.

Verse 20, and Aiken answered Joshua and said,

Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done.

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonian-ish garment and 200 sheckles of silver and a wedge of gold of 50 sheckles

weight, then I coveted them and I took them. And behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my

tent and the silver under it. So Joshua sent messengers and they ran unto the tent and behold it was hid in his

tent and the silver under it and they took them out of the midst of the tent,
