Hey guys, welcome back to According to. I'm Megan. And I'm Sierra. For this week's episode, we are going to be doing another According to Us advice episode. So a few days ago, we asked you guys to send us some situations or scenarios that you need advice on. And we're going to do our best to give you some sound advice.

But of course, before we do that, we like to catch you guys up just with what's been going

on in our life, and we do our weekly spotlights.

So we'll start with weekly spotlights, and then honestly, we probably have, like, a good

bit of recapping we'll do from like this past week just because we are towards the end

of our time in Iowa City. This is actually the last podcast we are going to be recording in our apartment. So crazy. Sad. I don't know.

Sierra was saying actually earlier, she's like, I don't have object permanence. So when things

like leave or not in her life, like you can take over. Yeah. So I actually saw this on TikTok and

it resonated with me. And so I feel like everyone always talks about specifically with dogs not having object permanence. So it's like you hide the ball from them and like they just think it like disappeared and like it doesn't exist anymore. And so this TikTok that I saw with someone saying like I have like I don't have object permanence in the sense that like if you're not with someone, like you don't like miss them or like it can be related to things other than people too where it's like, oh like if you like leave that place, you don't be like reminisce on like that place.

Like oh like I want to like go back if that makes sense.

And so I feel like my family and friends like listening to this are going to be like heartbroken.

Don't listen. But like when I'm here in Iowa City and like all my family and stuff in Des Moines, like I don't

really actively like miss anyone because I talk to people, you know, like on the phone

and text them.

Like so I feel like I have that connection with them.

So I'm not like, I really like just want to hang out with like my mom and dad and like everyone

right now like my mom and dad and like everyone right now like

my grandparents I always love to you know I go back shouldn't wine I hang out with them all the time

but like I just did not the person like actively like thinks about it and I think like that's

pretty common for a lot of people in the sense like you get accustomed to your day to day and like

who you see and who you don't see so you get used to it but. But I just feel like a lot of people, like, actively miss things more than I do.

Like, even when we got to college, I feel like I was like, meh.
