Let's open the word of God to John chapter 4.

John chapter 4.

We started talking about acceptable worship last Sunday morning, and I want to complete that.

This morning before we gather around the Lord's table, the John chapter 4.

And I just want to read from verse 20 through 24.

This is a conversation Jesus is having with a Samaritan woman.

And He confronts her with her sin, as you know.

They meet at a well and she's coming to get water and He talks about the water of life

which will eliminate any spiritual thirst forever.

And they're having this conversation.

And it comes down to the fact that she is told by our Lord that she is living in sin.

Without knowing her, He knows.

She's had many husbands and she's now living in adultery with a man who's not her husband.
