Students will be returning to classrooms and college campuses across the United States soon. In fact, some already have. But

over the next few days and weeks, universities will soon experience the annual return of would-be scholars trying to improve themselves and their future

prospects by continuing with their education.

The goal is to learn the lessons that will best serve you after you leave the university,

or if you decide to be an academic, which lessons will serve you best as a teacher.

But considering the lessons students were being taught by

university administrators last spring, which were essentially calling in the

police to violently put down peaceful campus protests, with reports that law enforcement allowed

violent right-wing extremists to attack some of those peaceful protesters.

If I was a student, I might not be all that excited about what lessons may be taught on college campuses this fall.

Taking that into account the many changes that have happened on college campuses since the students left this

summer. When it comes to academic freedom and freedom of speech at

universities across the United States and the ongoing genocide in Gaza that is still being armed by the US, this fall

could actually be even more violent on campus than it was in the spring. I hope not, but considering actions
