I'm your host, Richard Spanner's Ready.

And first things first, I would like to say,

that as much as this season is about the teams and the drivers,

I also want to acknowledge that we've had a season-long battle of our own

across social media, across podcast comments, and even within our own panel,

even though we didn't turn a wheel, it seems weird to say we won or day one,

because we didn't pay for the team, we didn't do any driver coaching,

but we are invested emotionally, we've given our time,

we've pinned a flag in the ground, and we've put our hearts and souls

into the sport for one team or driver or another, you know.

And materially, we've all bought our subscriptions to a TV service,

we've funneled through the turn styles, and without fans, there is no sport.

Sports do rise and fall based on their fan bases,

and the F1 fan base has never been stronger.

So I just want to say I value our fights, I value the debates we've had,

and the podcast communities that we've created.
