abstract painter, an art instructor, and a writer. His work is represented by Elizabeth Harris Gallery in Chelsea. Mario has received awards

from the National Endowment for the Arts, the E.D. Foundation, the George Sugarman Foundation, and the Polack-Krasner Foundation.

His writing has appeared in such publications as City Arts, New Art Examiner,

Slate, The New Criterion, the New York Review of Art,

and the Wall Street Journal, just to name a few.
