George, I started with a smile on my face, but it's been wiped off already because I think

we should be straight with each other.

I think we should be straight with the listeners.

This weekend of EFL football that we are recapping, potentially the worst weekend of

EFL football of the season, possibly even in recent memory, I think.

Possibly ever.

I mean, just to give you some numbers as to why I would be quite so disparaging.

18 goals in nine championship games, that's two a game, 23 and 10 League 1 games, 2.3 per game.

And only 11 in nine League 2 games, 23 of the 28 had two goals or fewer in them.

I mean, a potion of mental and physical fatigue, poor pitches, lack of training time.

There are plenty of excuses, and I don't mean to be rude.

But we didn't even have much late drama that we normally would.

A late winner for Rotherham, late-ish,

and a late equaliser for Rochdale aside. But we did have plenty of red cards. Everyone was

obviously very touchy this weekend. I'm intrigued to know how many people have just turned off

their podcast being like, right, well, if that's the case, I'm just going to not listen to the lads.
