The definition of chaos is complete disorder and confusion.

As you can imagine, chaos is something that can be frequent and even sometimes routine in a 911 dispatch center. It's something that's

expected to happen at least at some point during the day. And chaos can happen at any time,

morning, noon, or in the wee hours of the night. Generally, when I get into work, it's still dark outside.

Most other people haven't even woke up yet.

The first bit of work, they can be quiet.

Not many people calling for help.

But when the phone rings, it could very easily be someone who's calling him for something that's pretty crazy and chaotic.

Then the day goes on, and it just continues.

For the caller, it's possibly the worst thing they've ever witnessed and could be an incident that sits with him for the rest of their life.

For a dispatcher, that same incident can just simply be a part of the 7 o'clock hour on a Tuesday.
