Former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Peterson has found a new home in the NFL.

NFL insider Adam Schaffner announced on Thursday night that the Super Bowl winning head coach

has been hired as the new head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It's been a little bit over a year since Peterson was fired by the Eagles and he spent

the 2021 season taking a gap year away from football.

He will replace urban Meyer who was fired by Jacksonville back in December because of a

lot of mess that was going on.

Meyer finished his season 2 and 11 and then Jaguars often subcordinated Darryl Bevel, stepped

up as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season and the Jaguars finished 3 and

14.

Peterson was the first head coach in candidate that the Jaguars interviewed among other candidates

and he first interviewed back on December 3 and then the Jaguars brought him back for

a second interview this past Tuesday.

Of course he's going to be tasked with developing Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence because

of what we know that he did with Carson Wentz.

I'm pretty sure that that played a huge deal.

We know that that played a huge deal and why he got hired for this specific position

with Jacksonville.
