It's a great day to talk football, that is Eagles football of course, and I'm your

host, Rachel Pervet, getting you hip very quick to what's happening. Happy new

year to all of you lovely loyal listeners. I took a mini break the last two

weeks to reset, recharge, refuel all that good stuff, but I'm back better and

ready to inform you on the latest news surrounding the birds. The Philadelphia

Eagles are now nine and seven after outlasting the Washington football team on

the road 20 to 16. In order to officially clinch a playoff burp, the Eagles

needed three things to happen in week 17. They needed to beat Washington, which

they did. They needed the 49ers to beat the Texas, which they did. And they

needed the Packers to beat the Vikings, which they did. So now the Philadelphia

Eagles are going to the playoffs. But first we got to recap what went down week

17 again, Washington. In that game, Jalen Hurts completed 17 of 26 for 214

yards, zero touchdowns, zero interceptions, plus he ran for another 44 yards on

seven carries. Looking at the box score alone, it doesn't look like this was a

spectacular performance. It wasn't like a wow factor, but this was actually a

really strong performance for Jalen Hurts. And like I talked about on this

week's episode of the QB factory reboot, he continues to develop right before our

eyes. Yeah, he made some mistakes here and there, which he's going to continue

to do because he's still developing. He's not perfect. Overall, he looked healthy
