Summary

After three weeks in hospital Deborah James is finally told she can go home. But nothing ever seems to run smoothly. Little did Debs know that she’s about to embark on another emotional roller coaster that would taker her to absolutely rock bottom. This is the third and final part of her hospital recordings.

Now this final offering of the hospital recordings is probably something that really represents

for me the roller coaster of life in a hospital just to set the scene I was just entering my

third week in hospital and for me it's been the most challenging three weeks of my life.

As is always the case it's never plain sailing and well it starts off because I got some

really positive news I thought I was ready to go home.

So I've just had a massive shock in a good way and I didn't see it coming at all so I've

just seen my oncologist and he is so happy with my progress along with the surgeon, the

interventional radiologist and the gastro that I'm being sent home. So this is a new territory

for me I am somebody who discharges themselves like makes it down clear to every single person

that I have to go home as early as possible. But the problem is after two weeks in hospital

I've now got into the zone of kind of the hospital is my comfort blanket and I am scared

of the outside world because I am obviously scared of having the medical emergency of bleeding

again like I did. However so I'm totally and I'll slowly blindsided by this. Weirdly

I have been planning, you know the best case scenario is that for me they talked about

maybe a Thursday discharge like with you know the aim to be home by the weekend but they
