Welcome. Welcome to Truth for Life, where we're beginning a series titled For the Sake of the Gospel.

0:30.3

Over the next few weeks, Alistair Begg will be exploring the trials the Apostle Paul endured on his final missionary journey to share the good news of

0:39.4

salvation. We begin today in Acts chapter 19 where we're considering 12 almost Christians

0:46.7

the Apostle Paul encountered in the early church.

0:57.5

Now we'll pray together before we study the Bible.

of Jesus, and so that others who actually believe might be better equipped to share the good

2:10.2

week. There was a paraphrase of Paul's words to Timothy

2:19.6

in his final letter to Timothy that we have in the New Testament, where he says to him, through me,

2:26.6

the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. He's explaining his

2:31.7

mission and what God has chosen to do with him. And the paraphrase

2:35.9

contained the phraseology, spreading the message loud and clear to those who've never heard.

2:43.4

Spreading the message loud and clear to those who've never heard. That is essentially our

2:49.7

raison d'être. Those are our marching orders from our
