Personally for me going back into the work environment

and applying for jobs, you're reliving it

every time you go for a job. You're reliving that gap, that gap on your CV and that gap in your boot.

And when you continually try to keep going, get up, get out and get on, and there's this lingering doubt in the back of your head

for the next 10 years that I have to be personally checked.

It makes it really, really hard to go back into the workplace.

And with the cost of living crisis seeing the number of those left homeless rising

rapidly I felt it was an important time to look into the cost of cancer crisis.

Now back when I was diagnosed in 2016 the average cost of cancer was about 500 quid-ish.

That combined with a dramatic decrease in income owing to statutory sick pay meant I wasn't able to afford my rent,

let alone travel to and from the hospital and all the other wonderful things that you need when you're going through treatment.
