Summary
“There's research that says over 50% percent of supplements tested weren't exactly what they claimed to be.”
Friend, your mind is about to explode in Part 2 of our chat with Dr. Jessica Knurick!
We chat about why the wellness industry has exploded in recent years and the changes we can make to keep ourselves (and our neighbors) healthy.
Dr. Jessica breaks down why supplements aren’t regulated by the FDA and how our government’s policies have resulted in a lack of accessibility to nutritious food and preventive healthcare for many Americans.
I had to ask her if eating whole foods and moving your body was enough to stay healthy and you may be surprised by her answer.
Thanks for being here with an open mind! And don’t miss Part 1 when Dr. Jessica talks about ultra-processed food and why we should care about public health in the first place.

So I have a question for you then if that's the case. Yeah. If supplements aren't regulated, but doctors tell us when we're pregnant, like this is the only time I've ever really taken a supplement. Other than that, I try to eat most of what I think I need, you know, |
| 1:15.0 | but, you know, my doctor was like, take a prenatal. And my doctor was also kind of like, yeah, it doesn't really matter. Like, you know, just pick something generally. Anything's better than nothing, you know, that sort of thing. |
| 1:08.1 | But people sell supplements all the time. |
| 1:10.6 | Yeah. Like it's a very common |

| 1:40.6 | that's owned by the government or owned by some that is researching this. |
| 1:43.8 | Like there's and saying, hey, this one's safe? |
| 1:46.6 | Yeah, so there's a history there. |
| 1:47.8 | In the 90s, we decided the FDA commissioner during that time, the head of the FDA, |
