The restrictive Texas abortion law has done more than just limit access to abortion and

introduce a new concept of bounty hunter laws.

It has reset the debate perhaps ahead of the 2022 midterms.

A little more than a year to go.

The terms of the campaign are clearly still in flux, where Republican could once focus almost

exclusively on President Biden, tag him with every piece of bad news.

Democrats may have their own motivating issue to get some voters to the polls.

Welcome back to the Todd cast and look, with abortion, I wanted to be here with two pollsters.

You guys have to pragmatically figure out where meat voters where they are and then I

guess that's the first place to start on this issue, which is, I'm going to ask you first

Kristen, do you feel like this is an issue that potentially resets the thinking on the

midterms?

I don't think so, and in part because I recall eight years ago, in 2013, summer of 2013,

you had another controversial Texas abortion law and a woman named Wendy Davis, who is

in the Texas legislature, stood on the floor of the Texas State Capitol.

She filibustered the bill.

She came to national acclaim, magazine covers.
