but in the UK, the murder of Sarah Everard has been in the headlines. She was walking home one evening when she disappeared,

and a police officer has been arrested, accused of her kidnap and murder. This is horrifying in

itself, and women all over the UK, including myself, are feeling really shaken.

And then there was the actions of the police at the vigil in Clap and Common and now the government are trying to pass the police crime, sentencing and court's bill,

which will give the police more power to squash protests and create tighter restrictions on protests.

Never mind the fact that Clapin Common was a vigil, not a protest.
