We are just minutes away from the end of voting in our other major governor's race of the night, New Jersey, and we are just over an hour away from the night's most high-profile contest, this New York mayor's race.

As we watch this big election night in America on CNN, I'm Anderson Cooper in New York.

And I'm Jake Tapper in Washington, D.C. The nation's capital polls close across the state of New Jersey in just

minutes. The Democrat, Congresswoman Mikey Cheryl, is a former Navy helicopter pilot. She is

facing off against former Republican State Assemblyman Jack Chittarelli. We expect the very first

votes in this race to come in very soon after polls close.
