Today we are joined by Dr. Joshua Sears, Assistant Professor of Ancient Scripture here at

B.Y.U. Dr. Sears received a BA in Ancient Near Eastern Studies from B.Y.U., an M.A. in

Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from the Ohio State University, and a PhD in Hebrew Bible

at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include Israelite prophecy and the publication history of Latter-day

St. Scripture.

He is the co-editor, most recently, of Covenant of Compassion, caring for the marginalized

and disadvantaged in the Old Testament from the Religious Studies Center here at BYU.
