Hi, film fans, it's Friday. And I know we don't normally give you an episode on a Friday,

but we have a bonus episode for you today. And as it is Friday, I just wanted to throw out a few

things that are available for you guys to see in the cinema. And one of those you might have

heard us talk about on Monday's episode of the podcast with Amelia Warner, the wonderful composer

behind young women in the sea. It is a beautiful film directed by Yolkham Ronning and produced

by Jerry Brookheimer, who may well be coming up on an extra bonus episode in the next week

or so, and it stars Daisy Ridley, and it tells the story of this young woman called Trudy Edelley, who in 1926 was the first woman to swim the English Channel.

That's all I'm going to tell you. You need to go and see this film. You need to go and see it in the cinemas and it is out today.

Also in cinemas is Hitman, the latest film from Richard Linklater, which stars Glenn Powell, who also co-wrote the film with Richard.

And I'm happy to say that in the next week or so, we have Richard Linklater back on soundtracking as well.

That's going to be in cinemas for a couple of weeks, and then it hits Netflix on the 7th of June I think it is. So there you go.

A couple of excuses, not that you need them, to get yourself out to the cinema. Go on, go and do it.

You know you want to. But our latest guests on soundtracking are the wonderful Abby Morgan and

Lucy Forbes, respectively the writer and director of the quite extraordinary Eric, which is available to watch right now on Netflix.

Now you might have seen this kind of everywhere, to be honest.

It stars Benedict Cumberbatch and it is a really wonderful, I was about to say complicated, but it's not complicated.

It's really hard to describe this series in a couple of sentences because it really would do it an injustice. But I guess,

broadly speaking, it involves a man who believes he can find his missing son with the help of a

giant puppet called Eric. As well as featuring a host of incredible needle drops,

Eric is scored by Kifis Siancia.

And we'll begin with his cue, Edgar's drawings.
