I'm Susie Larson, and I'm always honored to get to spend this time with you.

In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk,

the deep in your understanding of God's Word, and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life.

Well, here's a question for you and mess with you a little bit, I think.

Have you ever wondered to what degree our culture influences our perspective on who Jesus is

and on what he meant when he said certain things?

You know, that's something I've been praying about a lot.

Lord, show me in which ways my theology has been Americanized, where I'm seeing more through my

cultural filter than I am through the integrity of your word and what you meant when you said

certain things. Well, Rabbi Zacharias writes this. Jesus, Eastern features, well, they're

undeniable.

But Jesus is never simply Eastern or Western, though, but he's the savior of the whole world.

Children hover around him, yet teachers of the law are spellbound in his presence.
