Hey, bossfow's listeners, a little something special for you today, a crossover pod with my dear

friend Rebecca Jarvis. You know her as ABC News's chief business correspondent and the host of her No Limits

podcast. What you probably don't know unless this is our mom's listening, hi mom, is that we both

grew up in Minnesota and went to Montessori School together when we were four years old.

But it wasn't until our paths crossed again, reporting here in New York City that we reconnected more than a decade ago.

When you grow up in Minnesota and anybody, wherever you've grown up, if you happen to find yourself, I think, in a major city when you're in that

major city and then you meet someone from your hometown. Totally. It's an immediate connection.

I have watched Rebecca grow so much over the years as a fellow journalist and as a mother. I admire

her deeply. And I've learned a lot from her, from how she navigates her demanding job to being an amazing mother.

I think that life is both long and short.

And so there are always going to be, for me, one thing is starting things.

You know, I like to build things.

And I think that's why, and I know you're the same way.

That's why you started boss files. That's why I started

no limits. That's why I worked on the dropout. I feel excited when I'm charting a new course.

We also talk a lot about growing up in the Midwest and how that shaped both of us personally and

professionally. It's a special friendship and I am deeply grateful for it.
