Today I have a friend of mine, someone who is utterly brilliant and beautiful

both inside and out, and I want to stress the

brilliant part and she even snaps me on TV like last night. She's like the sister

that I never really wanted but none other than Abby Philip how are are you? Hey, I'm good. Now you get to turn the tables on me.

Just a little bit. But I'm still coming back on the show, so it's going to be gentle. Let's jump right in. No need to go over the arc of your career because we've had you on before.

But what's your take on the state of the election right now? And even more importantly, just from your perspective,

how has covering this election been different than your experience covering past presidential elections?

Yeah, I think the state of the race is that it's a tied race truly and that there's more risk for Vice President

Harris in the sort of natural fluctuation that we can expect from

elections in the last like three weeks because she hasn't been a candidate that long

and we don't really know a ton about how all these different pieces of the

electorate are responding to her and the messages.

So when I say risk, I mean that she's experiencing what I think is a natural degree of

fluctuation but there's not enough time for it to really settle out. So where we will be when election day is like the, you know, election day, let's call it the end of voting.

Where we will ultimately be when voting ends at the end of election day is pretty unclear. But I think it's it's uncertain. There's a lot of

uncertainty because of all the change that's happened because of the kind of

candidate that Trump is and because the country is in this

weird place where many of them don't like Trump very much but they are unhappy with the economics of the country broadly speaking and how those two things balance out has been
