All right, we're going to talk to Aaron Shats.

Hopefully, we're just having some issues with our phones.

Aaron is the creator of the DVOA metric.

We reference that all the time on this show.

It's essentially a stat.

It stands for defense-adjusted value over average.

It takes basically every play, but it doesn't treat every single play the same.

You know, an 8-yard, you know, a 10-yard play on 3rd and 20 isn't valued as highly as 4-yardyard play on third and two.

So there's real context on down distance, et cetera.

And Aaron created this, and it's a very good way to sort of measure a team's overall strength

compared to other teams and to look at a specific side of the ball,

offense, defense, special teams as well.
