I'm Aaron Chadbourne, sitting in for Grace.

We're monitoring the situation going on right now.

The Iranians have fired missiles toward the U.S. base in Qatar.

And so far as we can tell right now, it seems that they were intercepted.

Explosions were heard in the air.

So it does not look like there was a strike, no kind of damage assessment going on.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Kane, who was at that event with Secretary of Defense Pete Higgseth over the weekend.

They were overseeing the mission. They are in the situation room. Trump is said to be in the Oval Office where he was already scheduled to meet with his national security team. So we'll continue to watch and see what they are. Now, it's interesting that that base in Qatar is the one that President Trump visited in May when he spoke to the troops there. And that is the one that was being targeted in the region. So I don't know if there was some symbolism to that as well. The Qataris have been engaging in talks with Iran who has been refusing to speak with the United States.

Qatar urging them to do that.

So it'll be interesting to see what else we continue to learn.
