Hello, everyone, and welcome once again to Pediacast.

It's a pediatric podcast for moms and dads.

This is Dr. Mike, and I usually am coming to you from the campus of nationwide children's hospital,

as was mentioned in the intro there.

But today I'm actually coming to you from the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California,

from the exhibit hall of the American Academy of Pediatrics

National Conference and Exhibition for 2016.

And that's what we're calling the program, the AAP National Conference, Part 1.

I want to welcome you all to the show.

So I have a very special program for you this week, and since we're calling it Part 1,

you probably got the idea that there's going to be a part 2, and there may even be a part 3.

We'll have to wait and see.

The plan is just to bring you a collection of interviews from the exhibit hall floor in the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

As pediatricians from around the country gather

for the 2016 edition of the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition,

and what this is, it's basically the largest gathering of pediatricians in North America,

maybe even the world. I'm not quite sure, but certainly in North America.

Pediatricians from all over the United States of America,

they all get together once a year.
