reunited to run people illegally from Mexico into the United States.

Operation Gatekeeper's influence was growing and the number of Border Patrol agents along the US-Mexico border continued to rise, as did the number of border apprehensions, both of migrants and the

cuyotas who were crossing them. This meant Eldon and Tim were facing a tsunami of

Their first scheme utilized the desolate back roads of Texas outside the border towns,

where it was still possible to drive across undetected.
