Hello and welcome to this episode of a world to win and today we are talking to Peter Mitchell

about his book Imperial nostalgia, how the British conquered themselves. How are you doing

today, Peter? I'm fine, thanks, how are you? Good, thank you. It's a pleasure to have you

on the show. So I love the book and I'd really encourage listeners to have a read. It's

like I would say quite an easy read, a very well written book and really very interesting

observations that you make throughout. I want to start by just talking a little bit about

the term nostalgia. This is a concept that's often used and abused quite a lot in academia.
