America has long billed itself as the land of opportunity,

but for many African Americans it's a land of broken promises,

oppression, and second-class citizenship status that generations have fought and even

died to overcome. Now some black folks are making a fresh start somewhere else.

There has been a pretty good understanding of the fact that a lot of black Americans are in the same

way that you might think someone from South or Central America moving to the United States

is moving, are fleeing, whether it be racism or disaster in the United States.
