and they certainly aren't Casey Anthony, and there are a lot of them, a lot of women moving through

the criminal justice system. Today, there are more women than ever moving through this system.

Let me just tell you some quick stats. Between 1980 and 2019, the number of women who were

incarcerated rose by more than 700%. Okay? So in 1980, there were just over 26,000 women locked up
