a podcast about wild women on the wrong side of the law. I'm your host, Tori Telfer. I am your

faithful correspondent, your friend, if you'll let me. I'm the author of confident

women, swindlers, grifters, and shapeshifters of the feminine persuasion, which is a nonfiction

sometimes I have to remind people that my books are nonfiction, aka everything in them really

happened, aka if you're thinking that you're going to read them because you like fiction because it's not as scary as real life, then you're going to want to avoid my books.

So yes, I'm telling you not to buy my books if you fit in a certain category of people because I don't want to scare you.

Honestly, I don't think they're that scary.

I think they're, I'm going to say they're more twisty than terrifying, but my grandma

thinks they're really scary, so I'll let you make up your own mind about that. Anyway, why am I

down this rabbit hole? That's who I am. If you're new here today, you're probably thinking,

like, whatever, she's doing an episode on Casey Anthony, like, that's no big deal. Lots of podcasts do that.

But if you're old here, you know that this is a really big deal. Because here at Criminal

Broads, we never do famous cases, right? We always do obscure cases. And that is a decision I have made

for us. You know I love an obscure case. You know I love to go into the archives and dig around. And in fact, when I'm choosing cases for this podcast, I will often think, ooh, I'm pretty sure none of my listeners have ever heard of this. That's perfect. I love an obscure case. I don't like an overdone case. So why am I doing Casey Anthony?
